Delete account
Delete in the app
The fastest way is through the app:
- Open the account area.
- Tap "Delete account".
- Confirm with Google or your password.
Your deletion request is submitted and you are signed out. Your account is immediately invisible to others: it no longer appears in search or in follower lists, your profile can't be opened, running live matches end and you stop receiving notifications. To others it looks as if your account doesn't exist.
30-day grace period
Your account is permanently deleted 30 days after the deletion request. Until then you can restore the account: just sign in again — the app asks whether you want to restore it. If you say yes, your matches, your profile, your photo and your followers are back — they come from the cloud. If you say no, you stay signed out and the 30-day grace period keeps running.
After the 30 days the deletion is final. Signing in later with the same email address creates a new, empty account.
Delete by email
You can also request deletion by email. Write to us from the email address of your account at racketwatch@gmail.com — the subject "Delete account" is pre-filled. Please include your display name so we can identify your account. We'll submit the deletion request for you — the same 30 days apply, and you can cancel it by signing in to the app again.
What gets deleted?
With the deletion request, the app deletes your local data on this device — your matches and profiles belonging to this account. Anything that only lived there (for example opponent photos and your ticker history) is gone for good and does not come back when you restore the account.
After the deadline we permanently delete: your sign-in account, your profile including photo, club and team, the cloud backup of your matches, shared results, your feed rows and your follow connections.
Matches by other people that you appear in stay with them — they belong to those people. There you appear after deletion with your last known name only, without photo and without a profile link, like an opponent without an account.
Only delete your waitlist entry?
If you don't have an app account but only a waitlist entry, a short email to racketwatch@gmail.com is enough.
